Tribute to my Mother

I made this Wordle design for my mother for her birthday March 17 (don't worry, she's doesn't use the Internet and won't see it!) You can compile special phrases and words, then paste them into the Wordle program and voilâ--a thoughtful and heartfelt gift!

Aww I like this. I understand when you say your mom will probably never see it anyways, it kinda sucks that that's true. I think thats what really sucks when it comes to searching for our families because often times the answers lie in the internet and they will never see it because they do not use computers who knows...

I used to make little things for my mom on the holidays, but I gave up or something like that. I like how you put those beautiful thoughts together.

Hi J!
Actually, this was for my adoptive mom. I thought about specifying that, but then changed my mind. Don't you hate how we have to qualify our families all the time: "adoptive mom" "birth mom"--does it ever make you feel like you're cheapening who they are to you? Ah, it never ends!

I do have some words and sayings to put on one for my birth mother...maybe I'll post it soon!

Hope you're enjoying Spain!

Aw, Belinda :) I miss the bichon parent stories! I've never had another group of friends who all knew one another's parents' first names :)

ugh! yes! I do feel that way. Every time I write a post on my blog, facebook, or heck speak about it and I have to label the A's and B's I feel like I am devaluing my a-mom. I think as adoptees we are the only ones left labeling everyone lol. not funny but funny. I we have the step parent thing too, but it is nowhere like the alphabet.

I am glad you did that for your adoptive mom. I think what you did was pretty cool by not labeling who it was for exactly. I look forward to your next word design.

And thanks, Spain is beautiful! I am getting so much done! Bless and Love

Hi :) I found your blog through Jess' (Muzik's) blog and am looking forward to reading more! I love your Wordle, and know exactly what you and Jess mean about "labeling". I wish I could just say, "my mom", and have people know who I was talking about.
